Homeowner InterviewA quaint 1BR1BA cottage under 500sqft ADU, this unit was built for the property owner’s mother so she can be closer to family. The floor plan was customized by the family, after they had found a plan close to what they had in mind.
Mylinh had been looking for an ADU builder for years, as she considered bringing her aging mother closer on her property in San Diego. A “granny flat” seemed a perfect option to maintain independence while also supporting family over time.

The property is in Rancho Penasquitos, and had a spacious back yard.
