Maximizing Space with a 2 Bedroom Minimalist ADU
In the bustling neighborhood of Clairemont Mesa, San Diego, Corey Roan set out to elevate her property’s value and functionality by building a two-bedroom tiny house. This project reflects the growing demand for smart, space-saving housing solutions in urban areas. Motivated by the strong rental market for accessory dwelling units in San Diego, Corey envisioned a living space that would be both efficient and stylish. She appreciated the flexibility of being able to rent the unit or use it to provide additional accommodations for her family.
Creating a Compact, Modern Living Space
Located just minutes from Sharp Memorial Hospital and Rady Children’s Hospital, Corey’s two-bedroom tiny home represents a practical, well-designed housing option. She worked closely with a team of experienced builders to create a minimalist ADU that enhances property value and includes all the essentials of a comfortable rental space.
The finished result is a compact, modern residence that balances privacy with convenience. At just 630 square feet, this is one of our smallest two bedroom plans.The open-concept design, modern fixtures, and cozy ambiance appeal to a wide variety of renters.
Corey also made a thoughtful design decision to relocate all external metering and electrical boxes to the rear facing side of the ADU. This preserves the main home’s view and maintains curb appeal.
