The homeowner’s mother intends to occupy the 2BR/2BA accessory dwelling unit once complete, in order to stay closer to the family. The ADU is 749sqft in total and will be customized to match the gorgeous exterior of the primary home.

The Escondido ADU guide

SnapADU team members know the city’s regulations and processes very well. Turnaround times at the city are lengthy, due to a sequential processing system in which the planning department does a full review prior to submitting the plans to the rest of the departments. Escondido requires in-person submissions which does add some processing time and expense as well.

Also, note that much of what is considered Escondido actually falls under the County of San Diego jurisdiction – we will happily check your property jurisdiction & zoning so you know what you can build.
