Some of our best projects start with a simple introduction. When you introduce a homeowner who is serious about building a detached ADU, we take it from there.
This program rewards introductions that result in a homeowner committing to our paid Feasibility and Design phase. There is no need to sell, quote, or explain ADUs. Just make the introduction. We handle the rest.
💸How It Works
1. Register. Sign up with your name & email so we can track your introductions.
2. Make the introduction. Introduce a homeowner considering a detached ADU via your unique referral link or a direct email introduction. You are not expected to discuss pricing, scope, or timelines. Simply connect us.
3. Earn Rewards. When your referral:
- Signs a Proposal and pays to begin Feasibility –> You receive a $100 gift card.
- Moves forward into full Construction Documents following Feasibility –> You receive a referral payment of $2,500.
Compensation is tied to the homeowner entering into and paying for SnapADU’s professional design services. There is no cap on the number of introductions you can make.

❓Referral Program FAQ
Do I need to be licensed?
No. This program compensates you for making an introduction only. You are not authorized to quote pricing, discuss scope, negotiate contracts, or represent SnapADU.
How do I refer someone?
After signing up, you’ll get a unique referral link to share. This link will automatically identify your referrals who use it to complete a project inquiry form.
Who qualifies as a referral?
The person must be new to SnapADU (not already in our system) and interested in building a detached ADU in San Diego County.
When do I get paid?
$100 gift card once your referral signs a Proposal to start Feasibility and they activate their Buildertrend portal.
$2,500 after the design agreement to move into Construction Documents is signed and paid
Payment is not contingent upon execution of a construction contract
How do I get paid?
We’ll send your $100 gift card by email. We issue payment by check or direct deposit once a W-9 is on file.
