One Story

This tiny home in San Diego is a 498 square foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU) with one bedroom and one bath, plus a full kitchen and laundry. The homeowner opted to customize our build ready 1BR/1BA square ADU floor plan, to accommodate a number of features her mother wanted to include in her new ADU tiny home. A larger tiled shower and beautiful front facing windows make up a few of these customizations in the granny flat.

The ADU was built for the homeowner’s aging mother, who wanted to move closer in a multi generational living setup. The beautiful rose bushes framing the home will allow privacy for the ADU, while also complimenting the blue exterior.

Read more about considerations for multigenerational living in our ADU Guide for Family Members.
